What's on tap at the Fall Festival:

- Carnival

Beginning Wednesday, October 9th; evening hours

The parking lot of the Union City Justice Center will be converted into a Carnival Ground with amusement rides, games, and other activities.

- Fiesta Friday Latin Street Dance "Viva Union City"

Friday, Oct. 11, 7 p.m. ­ 10 p.m. A street dance with a Latin American theme on Union Street in front of City Hall. The City of Union City, in conjunction with the Latin-American business community, will feature Latin-American food vendors and Latin music.

- A Taste of Union City

Local restaurants will provide booths with sample menu items. The event will be held in the City Depot parking area. Event participants and times yet to be determined.

- Parade

Saturday, October 12th; 10:00 p.m.

Floats and exhibits from local businesses and residents, marching bands and drill teams from local high schools. The parade will begin at Stonewall Tell Rd. and end in front of the City Hall complex. Floats in the parade will be judged on theme and appearance, and a trophy will be awarded for the best float all-around.

- South Fulton "Battle of the Bands"

Saturday, Oct. 12th following the parade.

Marching bands from the South Fulton County high schools will participate in a halftime show exhibition. Dance teams from the various schools will also be featured.

- Hoop Fest 2002

Saturday, October 12th; time to be determined

Local athletes compete for cash prizes and trophies in a "3 on 3" basketball tournament. Four age categories, 12-year-olds and under, 13 ­ 17, 18 ­ 39 and 40 and over. To register, call 770-306-6849 or 404-444-8377.

- Gospel Concert

Saturday, October 12th, 2:00 p.m. ­ 7 p.m.

Gospel Choirs from local churches have been invited to perform on the steps of City Hall.

- Street Dance

Saturday, October 12th; 7:00 p.m.
