PTC Airport Authority to meet Monday night By JOHN
MUNFORD The Peachtree City Airport Authority will meet Monday night at 7 p.m. since its regularly scheduled meeting was postponed last week due to the Great Georgia Airshow. The authority will consider spending over $3,800 towards a state grant to seal cracks in the airport's pavement and consider offering a contract to audit the authority's financial records. The crack sealing project is seen as necessary for preventative maintenance on the airport's runways and taxiways. In the coming years, it will be necessary to repave the surfaces, but the crack sealing is important to keep the area from deteriorating further, according to Airport Manager Jim Savage. The authority will also consider awarding a contract to conduct the annual audit of the authority's financial data.
