Fayetteville Police arrested a local man Wednesday who was illegally carrying four weapons in his vehicle, authorities said.

James Wallace Sutton, 31, of Fayetteville, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a concealed weapon, according to Beverly Trainor of the Fayetteville Police Department.

Sutton was stopped by an officer for speeding on Ga. Highway 54 at the intersection of Grady Avenue Wednesday morning, Trainor said.

Officers found four weapons in Sutton's vehicle: a .357-calibur handgun, a .45-calibur handgun and two rifles, Trainor said.
