Communities Magazine recently honored Penny Henderson of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty as a member of the 2002 Communities 100, a designation recognizing Atlanta's leading Realtors across 15 metropolitan Atlanta real estate boards. This is the third year she has received the honor. The designation is based on the net sales volume of metro Atlanta's Realtors as reported and verified by 15 of the areas boards of Realtors. This special designation was established in 1986 by Communities Magazine to recognize only the highest producers of the 15,639 Realtors in the area. In essence, Henderson is in he top 1.9 percent of board-certified Realtors in the entire metro Atlanta area. The Communities 100 honors the top producing 100 realtors in each of the following three groups: those who are individual agents working for general brokerage companies; those who are team agents working for general brokerage companies; and those who are new home agents working for new home, on-site specialist companies. The company for which they work, along with their function within that company, determined placement within a category. The cutoff this year for individual agents was $6.342 million, for team agents $8.092 million; and for new home agents $5.408 million. Henderson is an individual agent with a net sales volume of more than $6 million. Members of all metro Realtor boards are considered. The 2002 Communities 100 consists of 160 members of the Atlanta board (53% of the entire group of honorees); 40 from Northeast Atlanta Metro (Gwinnett) (13%); 32 from Cobb (11%); 15 from Metro South (includes Clayton and Henry) (5%); 10 from Cherokee (3%); 12 from DeKalb (4%); 7 from West Georgia; 6 from East Metro; 5 from Fayette; 5 from Rockdale; 5 from 400 North; and 3 from Bartow. Henderson was honored at a recent gala Awards Breakfast held at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. This invitation-only breakfast was given by Communities Magazine and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage (Grand Sponsor), Beazer Homes, Brayson Homes, Chatham Neighborhoods & Legacy Realty, Eagle Residential Realty, Fairgreen Development, Homeland Communities, Jackson EMC, Jim Cowart Residential LLC, John Willis Homes, Millard Bowen Communities, Morrison Homes, Robert Harris Homes, Venture Homes, and Waterford Homes. Communities Magazine, founded in 1978, is Atlanta's new home directory listing more than 1,500 new home subdivision, cluster, condominium, loft ahd townhome communities throughout the 20-county metro Atlanta area.
