Wednesday, September 11, 2002 Hampton Brook moves into new phase
With Phase 2 nearly sold out, pre-sales have begun in Phase III of Hampton Brook, a single family residential community located one mile south of Hampton in Henry County. Carole Williams, broker for Woodland Homes Realty, said four pre-sales have already been recorded in the third phase and final phase and that only three homes and one homesite are still on the market in the second phase. Phase III has 22 homesites sized from one to over four acres in size. The 81-home community, with homes priced from $113,900 to the low $140,000s, is located on Floyd Road, which runs off Arnold Road a short distance from State Hwy. 3. Woodland Homes Inc., the builder, is offering 14 plans in the community, including ranch and two-story designs. The total electric homes have side entry garages, low maintenance exteriors, and sodded front yards. Several new plans have recently been introduced in the community. Hampton Brook, which has underground utilities, is convenient to Hwy. 19-41. The community is served by Hampton Elementary School and Luella Middle School and is in the area expected to be served soon by a new high school. According to Williams, Hampton Brook has proved to be attractive to a good mix of homebuyers, including professional people, retirees, families, and singles. Woodland Homes Inc. is headed by Bill Spelce, who has a background of more than 25 years in the home building field. Spelce started Woodland Homes in April 1998 and has previously been the exclusive builder for communities in Coweta County. His company, which is on the builder team at Liberty Square Park in Hampton, also specializes in custom design homes in the south metro area.
