Carolyn McCullough has been named the managing broker for Century 21 Scarbrough Properties in Tyrone. She has been active in the south metro real estate market for 29 years 14 years in general brokerage, and the past 15 years in subdivision development and new homes marketing. "It is exciting to return to a company which attends to the needs of all families, whether they are looking for something brand new or a resale home," she said. "We cover all of the south metro area, including especially Fayette, Coweta and south Fulton counties. And, our office is just five minutes north of Peachtree City." "We are happy to have a person with Mrs. McCullough's experience and reputation to preside over our busy office," said John Scarbrough, owner and president of Century 21 Scarbrough Properties. The company has 43 agents in its office at Tyrone and Handley roads, east immediately off Ga. Highway 74. Prior to joining Century 21 Scarbrough Properties, McCullough was vice president of sales and marketing for East West Partners, developing for that company the 375-acre Country Lake community in north Fayette County. East West is a multifaceted company with ongoing projects in Vail, Colo., and in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Washington. She also was associated with The Macauley Companies in the early development of Walden Park, a 591-acre planned community in south Fulton County. The first 14 years of her career were spent as a sales agent for Tri-City Realty and Mortgage in College Park and Fayetteville. Active in the Fayette Board of Realtors since 1983, McCullough has served in many capacities, including president in 1999, and several terms on the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Grievance and Professional Standards Committees, and the Building Committee. In the coming year, she will be chairman of the Grievance Committee and serve on the Board of Directors. McCullough is completing a second term as president of the congregation of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, which this year has completed a large multipurpose building, the Prince of Peace Life Center. She and her husband, Paul, live in Fayetteville and have four adult children who live with their families in Fayette County.
