Personal safety program offered by Fayetteville police

A personal safety and awareness class will be offered by the Fayetteville Police Department Monday, Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. at the Fayetteville Depot on 250 E. Lanier Ave.

The program will focus on such topics as awareness of your environment, survival techniques, prevention and escape techniques.

Also, the program will highlight the use of safety checklists for the family, home, automobile and travel.

The goal of the course is to reduce crime in the community by providing crime prevention education and promoting personal safety.

People of all ages are encouraged to attend the training program. Space is limited; to register, contact Det. Debbie Chambers at 770-461-4441.
