Main Street golf tourney Sept. 13
Plans are in full swing for the 9th Annual Main Street Golf Tournament, slated for Sept.13 at Whitewater Country Club. This year's tournament will be sponsored by Outback Steak House. Proceeds from the tournament go toward funding the historical redevelopment of the Fayetteville's downtown Main Street District. Cost of the tournament is $125 per individual, which includes green fees, lunch, dinner, and golf cart and range balls. For $250 you can become a hole sponsor, and $700 will cover a foursome along with a hole sponsor package. There are also several meal sponsor opportunities for $1500, which includes entry fees for a foursome, and company name included on three holes. The tournament begins at 11 a.m. with registration and opportunity to use the practice range. There will be a complimentary lunch served at 11:30 with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Prizes will be given for Longest Drive, Closest to the Hole and Hole-In-One contests. This year there will also be a logo ball contest within the tournament, which will award the team that finished with the lowest score while playing with the Main Street logo ball. A complimentary steak dinner provided by Outback Steakhouse will be served upon completion of the tournament, followed by the awards reception and raffle drawings.
