Students to have works published in new book

In March, twelve students from Mona Ramsey's talented and gifted language arts classes at Camp Creek Middle School in College Park entered the O! Georgia Too Writing Competition sponsored by Humpus Bumpus Bookstore in Cumming, Georgia.

Out of the 12 Camp Creek submissions seven students will be published in the fifth edition of the book.

The Humpus Bumpus Bookstore has invited the students to a huge book signing to be held in October where each student will invite 40 of his/her friends and family.

The seven students who will be published are:

Arielle Kinnebrew and London Nelson, eighth grade, who wrote a poem, "And Then We Grew Up."

Adrian Dunmeyer, now a ninth grader at Westlake High School, wrote a short story, "Finally Free: A Story about the Holocaust."

Bianca Rainwater, now a ninth grader at Westlake High School, wrote a poem, "When True to Me."

Vince T. Bell, eighth grade, wrote an essay, "Some People."

William Harris, now a ninth grader at Westlake High School, wrote a short story, "The Lost."

Candace Smith, eighth grade, wrote a poem, "In Grandfather's Eyes."
