PTC burglary suspect hit same auto store four times, police say By JOHN

A man caught by police in the act of a burglary at a Peachtree City bar last week now faces multiple burglary charges for a spate of other similar incidents in the city, including four break-ins at the Kedron Goodyear on Georgian Park. Peachtree City Police have charged George Keithahn, 33, of Peachtree City with 11 counts of burglary, 11 counts of criminal trespassing, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obstruction of a police officer, possession of burglary tools and possession of marijuana (less than one ounce). Additional charges are expected and the investigation is still ongoing, according to police. Keithahn was apprehended at the Hangar 74 bar in the early morning hours of Aug. 29 by an undercover officer who held him at gunpoint, according to Police Chief James Murray. Police claim that prior to entering Hangar 74, he broke into Augustino's Ristorante and stole $200 in cash. Warrants filed for Keithahn's arrest at Fayette County Magistrate Court indicate that he broke into the Kedron Goodyear four times, getting away with a total of $810 in cash on three occasions and leaving empty-handed once. The burglaries Keithahn is accused of date as far back as December of last year, when police say he broke into the Builder Marts of America store on Line Creek Drive and stole computer equipment. Keithahn also broke into the ReMax office on Ga. Highway 74 north and stole a laptop computer and a digital camera on August 19, according to police. The Baskin Robbins at the Kedron Village retail center was also broken into in June, when Keithahn got away with $270 in cash, according to warrants.
