Families First now open in Fayetteville A new outlet is now available in Fayette County for people needing help with family-related issues. Families First is a voluntary, nonprofit social service and mental health agency that has been committed to helping children and families of metro Atlanta for many years. Families First recently opened its newest counseling office in Fayetteville at 1275 West Highway 54, in the Medical Arts Building (next to Fayette Community Hospital). The Fayetteville office provides individual, couples and family therapy by professionally trained and licensed staff, who treat a range of problems including depression, anxiety, trauma-based syndromes, life transition issues, and professionals in crisis. First appointments are scheduled with the Families First main office by calling 404-853-2844. Future appointments and questions can be directed to the Fayetteville office by calling 770-460-6955. Families First offers late afternoon and evening hours and, because they received funding from United Way, they are able to offer a sliding fee scale in addition to self-pay and accepting insurance.
