Photo studio moving into Willow Dell By JOHN
THOMPSON The Willow Dell subdivision will soon see a photography studio within its boundaries. After a lengthy debate Monday night, the City Council decided to grant a conditional use permit for the operation to be located at 89 Willow Dell Drive. Rayanne Michel currently operates her business at the commercial center, just west of Senoia on Ga. Highway 16. She had previously operated the business from home, and wants to do it again. "I want to spend more time with my son and be there when he gets home from school," she said. Michel said the most cars residents would see at her home would be one, since she does much of her work away from the studio. "It would just be people coming by and picking up pictures," she said. She said that she does many dance schools in the area, and all that work is done on location. Neighbor Laura Robbins said she didn't necessarily have a problem with Michel's request, but said commercial businesses should not be allowed in residential areas. City Councilman Bill Wood motioned to have the permit approved, but the motion died because it wound up tied, with Councilman Pat Tunnell supporting it, while Councilmen Robert Belisle and Robert Hannah voted against it. Belisle them made a motion to approve the permit, but stipulated Michel would have to reapply after a year had passed, so the council could gauge reaction from the neighbors. The measure passed unanimously.
