PACE names new principal

PACE Christian School has named longtime educator Karen Yarbrough as its new high school principal. She began her tenure just before the beginning of the school year.

"Having served in Christian schools for over 20 years, I have a strong commitment to the Biblical mandate to 'bring up a child in the way he should go,'" she said. "I'm really excited about the upcoming school year and the opportunity to work with students, parents and staff at PACE."

Yarbrough is currently working on her doctorate in educational leadership. She holds a master's degree from Georgia State University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia. She also has taken Bible courses at Moody Bible Institute, Liberty University and Pensacola Christian College.

The new principal is committeed to seeing PACE high school students excel in academics and grow spiritually at the same time.

PACE Christian School functions as an extension of the Christian home. The adminstration, teachers and staff support parents as they seek to obey Biblical instruction that gives them the ultimate responsibility for the education of their children. PACE educators seek to provide quality education, academic excellence and Biblical leadership skills by teaching the mind and reaching the heart of each student.
