Wednesday, August 14, 2002 PruGeorgia enters new agreement Prudential Atlanta/Georgia Realty has entered into an exclusive vendor agreement with Resale-ability, Inc., an Atlanta-based "one-stop" home services company. This unique new program will be offered exclusively through Prudential Atlanta/Georgia Realty agents to their clients. Resale-ability provides services for both the home buyer and seller of any resale property, and partners with some of the top manufacturers in the industry such as Shaw Industries, Aristacraft cabinets, Duron Paints and Levolor Window Treatments. For the seller, a Personal Home Coordinator helps to stage, update the home, or just suggest minor repairs to make it more saleable (the Show and Sell Program), while new homebuyers can take advantage of the built-in Design Dollars Program to update or personalize any resale home to their liking before moving in. The Design Dollars can be built into the purchase price of the home and financed into the mortgage (some restrictions apply) so buyers do not have to come up with extra cash up front to fix or update the home. "I like to call this the '$7 facelift' because for every thousand dollars financed into the mortgage, the monthly payment goes up roughly $7," said Resale-ability president Michelle Krouss. In addition, Resale-ability customers have the option of 90-day, same-as-cash financing (through the local Shaw dealer) to delay payment of the work while their home is being shown and put under contract. "What we offer is convenience," said Krouss. "Our goal is to get your home in the best showing condition to help it sell faster. We come to the home with a detailed cosmetic checklist assessment and discuss any improvements needed from furniture placement, clutter removal, to repairs such as new carpet, flooring, handyman services, fresh paint, or even landscaping for added 'curb appeal' if needed. Then, if needed, we help the seller make all selections of carpet, paint, countertops, etc. in the privacy of their own home. In addition, we arrange all bids and installation, which for most work is a guaranteed completion of 10 business days." The homeowner has the option of making product selections right from the privacy of their home or visiting one of five Design Centers located in Marietta, Norcross, Fayetteville, Intown Atlanta and Covington, all are housed within Shaw Carpet dealer showrooms.
