Wieland promotes Durham to division president

Dave Durham was recently named President of John Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods' South Division in a move that positions the company for further growth and expansion. Wieland's South Division includes all operations in Charleston, SC, Nashville, TN, Raleigh, NC and South Atlanta neighborhoods located in Fayette and South Fulton counties.

Durham's promotion puts him at the forefront of ten Wieland neighborhoods in South Atlanta, including Lakeside on Redwine, Whitewater Creek, Centennial, Governor's Row and Southampton in Fayette County; and The Regency, Regency Hills, Regency Oaks, Regency Point and Guilford Forest in South Fulton County. Dave Durham will be responsible for all sales, construction and land development.

Joining Wieland nearly 12 years ago in Atlanta with more than seven years of homebuilding experience and business expertise, Durham was brought on board as an Associate Builder. He succeeded this position as Builder, Region Construction Manager and Wieland's Southeast Homebuilding Division Vice President. In the past decade, he has played an integral role in the start-up success of Wieland's Charlotte and Raleigh operations as well as the on-going success of Wieland's operation in Nashville and Charleston. Durham currently lives in Fayette County with his wife and two daughters.

Founded by John Wieland in 1970, John Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods is currently building in 60 neighborhoods throughout the Southeast, with 1344 closings and revenues of $500 million in 2001. Named "National Builder of the Year" and "National Housing Quality Award Winner," the company is the Southeast's leading builder of move-up homes.
