Harris joins brother in military
The Harris family of Fayetteville recently traveled to San Antonio for the graduation of their son, Mason, from U.S. Air Force basic training. The youngest son of Dave and Glenda Harris, Mason joins his brother, Mike, in serving his country in the military. Mike, a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps at the time this photo was taken, has received a promotion to the rank of sergeant. He serves as an aircraft mechanic in VMA-513 "Flying Nightmares," a Harriet jet squadron based at MCAS Yuma, Ariz. He was able to take leave and join his family in San Antonio for Mason's graduation. Mason is currently attending technical school at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss. Upon completion of his training in December Airman Harris will be stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Pensacola, Fla., and will work as an electronic computer and switching systems technician. He is simultaneously working toward obtaining a college degree. He and his wife, Shannon, are expecting their first child in early October.
