Lane closings this week Fayette Countians are being advised to watch for possible delays this week as Georgia Department of Transportation crews do repair work on local highways. Ga. Highway 54 will have a lane closure this week (Aug. 12-16) at milepost 11 westbound, which is near the intersection with Ga. Highway 85, according to a DOT spokesperson. Another lane closure through Friday is expected on Ga. Highway 314 at milepost 1.95 southbound, just north of Roberts Road. DOT maintenance forces will be installing drop inlets at these sites, and each of these concrete operations will require lane closures while work is in progress, according to the DOT.
