Residents can tell Fulton what they think of government services

Fulton County government will conduct a wide-ranging opinion survey in August and September 2002 to find out which services residents need the most.

"Fulton Feedback: Connecting Citizens to Services" features a brief check-off questionnaire about topics such as spending priorities, parks, health, neighborhood conditions, employment, homelessness, crime and safety, disability access, childcare and education.

The Fulton County Human Services Department will send out questionnaires through a mail sampling distribution, and through representatives who will ask passersby to respond to the survey at county health clinics, senior centers, libraries, parks buildings, and public events and facilities. In September, staff will conduct the survey door-to-door in selected areas.

The anonymous form, which asks only a person's age and zip code to help services geared to those demographics, takes just a few minutes to complete. Fulton residents are urged to look for the forms, and fill out and submit only one questionnaire per person.

Survey results, due in November, will help county officials determine how to improve services and allocate funds for the 2003 budget.
