Racial slur allegations to be discussed at NAACP meeting

The Fayette NAACP Branch will meet at the Olivet Baptist Church Saturday, Aug. 10, at 4:00 p.m. The temporary change of meeting place is due to the unavailability of Flat Rock AME Church.

Items on the agenda include an update on the Judicial Qualifications Committee inquiry into the Judge Melear allegations, recent complaints of possible racial discrimination, National NAACP convention progress report, plans to improve legal advise and attorney referral for complainants, branch election planning, upcoming political elections and annual freedom fund banquet planning.

All members are strongly urged to attend this very important meeting. All persons wishing to join the Fayette NAACP are invited to attend as well. Olivet Baptist Church is located 877 Highway 314 North. Call 770-460-9934 for more information.
