School board sells surplus land The Fayette County Board of Education approved Monday evening a deal that would bring in more than $360,000 for the sale of surplus land. After executive session, the board voted to approve the sale of 7.01 acres of property in the Tyrone Industrial Park to TCG Holdings of Brooks for $51,500 per acre, school system spokesperson Melinda Berry-Dreisbach said Tuesday.
