Voters should review sample ballot before going to the polls

The Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections is mailing over 370,000 complete sample ballots to county voters for the August 20 general primary, nonpartisan and special elections.

The yellow pamphlets, which should arrive a week before the August 20 election, include all of the candidates names that will appear on the Fulton County general primary, nonpartisan and special election ballot.

Each household with a registered voter will receive a complete sample ballot pamphlet.

The pamphlet also contains instructions on how to use the vote recorder, provides answers to frequently asked questions regarding the current voting system, and information about the new electronic touch screen voting system that will be used for the November 5 general election.

Voters must vote where they are registered and must be a resident of the county.

Fulton County voters wanting to confirm their polling place should call Fulton County Voter Registration at 404-730-7072 before August 20. On election day, the Department of Registration and Elections' phone lines will be extremely busy and citizens may experience a delay in obtaining information regarding voting.
