Starr's Mill High hosts orientation

Starr's Mill High School will host a student orientation for incoming freshmen, students new to the school and their parents Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 6:30-8 p.m. The evening's activities will begin in Duke Auditorium with a presentation by the principal, Sam Sweat.

Afterwards students will receive their academic schedules and have the opportunity to purchase lockers and agenda organizers. Representatives from the Parent Teacher Student Organization, athletic booster clubs, and the guidance counselors will be on hand, as well as people who can answer questions about bus transportation, student parking passes, and season athletic passes.

Students and parents will also have an opportunity to walk the halls of the school and find the location of their classes. Returning upperclassmen can pickup their schedules Aug. 7 between 2-4 p.m. Parking passes for senior and juniors will also be on sale.

Starr's Mill High School's Meet the Teacher Night is scheduled for Sept. 10 at 7 p.m.
