Local student gets national exposure A Peachtree City student has found a new outlet for his creativity a national magazine. Timothy Morris, soon to enter fifth grade at Huddleston Elementary, wrote a poem and drew a picture for a project back in third grade. His teacher, Bobbie Gribble, submitted it to "Highlights for Children," a publication seen in children's homes, schools, libraries and professional offices for more than 50 years. Timothy, whose parents are Joe and Barbara Morris, was notified before the end of the 2001-02 school year that his submission would be included in the magazine's August edition. He had previously received a letter thanking him for his submission and telling him that the magazine receives thousands every month, so "we didn't get our hopes up," as Barbara put it. But now Timothy will have something special to share with his classmates in a couple of weeks, and while Barbara said the magazine has promised to send the family two copies, it is likely that they will round up a few more than that.
