Wednesday, July 10, 2002 Fayette Re/Max offices now under one owner Fayette County's two Re/Max offices have now become one. Barbara Pearson, owner and broker of Re/Max Around Atlanta All-Stars in Fayetteville, recently announced the purchase of the Re/Max Results franchise in Peachtree City. She, along with Bob Pearson, opened that office in 1986 and operated it until it was sold in 1994. The new name of the Peachtree City office will be Re/Max Around Atlanta Results. "With this addition, the two Re/Max offices will collectively produce more than 24 percent of the sales volume in Fayette County, as well as large market shares in the surrounding counties of Coweta, Clayton and Henry," said Barbara Pearson. "We are very proud to be involved with such high-caliber real estate professionals, who collectively average more than 13 years of real estate experience." About 115 agents are affiliated with these two offices, and that number could grow. "Since the acquisition, we have received numerous requests from other real estate professionals who want to become part of our new team," said Pearson. Having operated the Fayetteville office since 1980, Pearson became a part of Re/Max Around Atlanta in 1996. The Around Atlanta group is the second largest Re/Max company in Georgia, with eight offices and more than 450 agents, ranking fourth out of all real estate companies in the Atlanta area in sales volume. Re/Max Around Atlanta offers an on-site mortgage company, a continuing education program, and two listing services Georgia Multiple Listing Service and First Multiple Listing Service. "The advantage to our clients is exposure of their properties to an additional 8,000 agents," said Pearson. With the addition of Re/Max Results, Re/Max Around Atlanta owns 19 percent of all deals closed within Fayette County, 23 percent of the Fayette County market share based on units sold, and 24 percent of the Fayette County market share based on volume sold, according to GAMLS first quarter 2002 data for Fayette County. Pearson was named Re/Max Georgia Regional Broker-Owner of the Year for 2001 among multiple offices.
