Triple Eagle for Gilbert brothers

Justin, Jason and Aaron Gilbert of Peachtree City, members of Troop 275, were recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout. The Court of Honor was held at Peachtree City United Methodist Church.

Justin selected his high school, Starr's Mill, for his Eagle service project. Justin installed a culvert to go over a drainage ditch, so that the football players could get to their practice field. The pipe for the culvert was donated by the school's Athletic Booster Club.

Jason chose Line Creek Nature Center for his Eagle service project. Jason made five bat boxes and hung them in various parts of Line Creek. This will help with the study of bats' habitat and help control mosquitos.

Aaron chose the cart paths of Peachtree City near his home. Aaron made signs, to go on the back of the cart path signs, that tell you what street you are on.

All the boys demonstrated their leadership skills by organizing other scouts to help with their projects.

During their time in scouting the boys participated in many civit activities. They helped plant trees in the city, participated in scouting for food, helped the methodist Men's Club from Peachtree City with their annual Pinestraw fundraiser. The boys are also members of The Order of The Arrow.

The troop is part of the Sepohaytev District, Flint River Council, Boy Scouts of America.
