Fayetteville cancels council meeting
The Fayetteville City Council has cancelled a work session and a regular meeting due to the July 4 holiday. The council typically meets on the first and third Thursday of each month, with a work session scheduled for the previous Thursday. Since the first Thursday in July is the 4th, the council decided to eliminate that meeting and the June 27 work session. "We're just going to go with one meeting this month," said City Clerk Judy Stephens. The next council work session is set for July 11, with the regular meeting to follow July 18. Both are at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall. Monroe Roark
