American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence honors McIntosh High School
McIntosh High School was one of 12 schools in the nation to receive a special recognition in honor of National Teacher Appreciation Day May 7 from the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence. The high school was selected based on its demonstrated ability to impart skills and knowledge to its students through documented success in the areas of student achievement. The American Board for the Certification of Teacher Excellence is a partnership created by Education Leaders Council and the National Council on Teacher Quality to provide an important new tool to identify and credential highly qualified teachers. McIntosh received a certificate of recognition from the Education Leaders Council and National Council on Teacher Quality as well as a bouquet of flowers and a cheese cake that was delivered directly to the school on National Teacher Appreciation Day for all members of the school administration and teaching staff.
