Officials are still trying to determine the cause of death of Coweta County planner Robert Tolleson's son Tuesday morning.

Blake Tolleson, 15, was discovered dead Tuesday when his parents went to wake him up, said Coweta County administrator Theron Gay.

Tolleson was on the Central of Carrollton High School football team and had practiced with the team Monday afternoon.

"He had a slight injury to his nose, but he came home and everything was fine Monday night," Gay said.

The family is devastated and Gay said Tolleson and his son were very close.

"They used to do all sorts of things together," he said.

Because of Tolleson's age, the body was sent to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.

Before Tuesday's Coweta County Commission meeting, the board asked for a moment of silence for the Tolleson family.

Robert Tolleson was slated to receive an award at the meeting for his 15 years of service to the county.

Arrangements were not available at press time.
