Harmon named NASA teacher scholar
Jendayi Harmon of Fayetteville has been named a NASA Space Grant teacher education scholar for the 2002-03 academic year by the Alabama Space Grant Consortium. Harmon, 22, graduated from B.E. Mays High School in Atlanta and is a junior majoring in secondary mathematics education at Alabama A&M University. The 2002 Alabama Space Grant fellowship awards were presented recently at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. The Alabama Space Grant Consortium includes state universities involved in space-related research. The University of Alabama in Huntsville is the lead institution. Other members include Auburn University, Alabama A&M University, the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of South Alabama and Tuskegee University.
