PTC Library to host investment classes

The Peachtree City Library will host a series of three weekly classes on using the library to make smart investment decisions beginning Tuesday, May 7, at 7 p.m.

The classes will be conducted by Peachtree City resident Richard Matsey, who has 16 years experience in the brokerage industry. Two of the classes will be conducted in the library's computer lab so participants will be able to follow along "hands-on."

The first class will cover equity investing issues such as asset class, revenue, earnings and dividents.

The second class, May 14, will discuss mutual fund issues including pooled funds, load vs. no load and growth vs. income funds.

The third class, May 21, will cover the use of computers in investment choices and investing online.

This series was offered at the library in Fall 2000 and was so popular that a return engagement was requested.

No advance signup is necessary for the program. For information, contact Lola Williams at 770-631-2520.
