Brown Steel continues Shenandoah acquisitions By JOHN
THOMPSON
Officials of the Coweta County Development Authority confirmed this week that Brown Steel had purchased additional property in Shenandoah Industrial Park. Chairman Mike Barber said the company purchased a two-acre site near its present location in the park, just off Amlajack Boulevard. The company is building a manufacturing facility and wants the additional land for future expansion. Barber said the company paid nearly $200,000 for the site, which helps the county pay off the debt for the county-owned industrial park. To date, companies have purchased more than $5 million in land in the park. "Our job is to help create jobs for Coweta County, which this purchase will help," Barber said. Barber said he has heard the county's industrial park is at the top of many potential companies' list for relocation.
