Investigation continues into discovery of bodies By JOHN
THOMPSON The Coweta County Sheriff's Department has poitively identified one of the bodies found this week on Interstate 85. But Sheriff Mike Yeager said the name of the victim won't be released until the next of kin is notified. The incident started unfolding Monday afternoon when the Coweta County Sheriff's department received a call from Douglas County about a possible missing and endangered person. Douglas officials said the person was driving a GMC-1500 series truck, possibly near Interstate 85, south of Exit 47. When the Coweta officials arrived on the scene, Yeager said, the truck was loaded with 30 bags of 40 pound potting soil. Under the bags of soil, the truck was loaded with loose potting soil and sand. Officers of the Coweta County Sheriff's Department, the Newnan Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation did the investigation and discovered the bodies of three Hispanic males underneath the soil. The bodies are currently at the state's crime lab for autopises and further investigation, Yeager said.
