Memorial Day festivities in Fayetteville

The public is invited to bring lawn chairs and picnic baskets and participate in a patriotic salute to American veterans May 25 at the Stonewall Village complex in Fayetteville, sponsored by Main Street Fayetteville.

Immediately after the salute to veterans there will be a free concert featuring Mac Frampton with instrumental ensemble and vocalists Sam Hagan and Kit Prothero. "On the Wings of Freedom: An American Portrait" is a production that focuses on the historic and regional fibers that bind the nation together, with a musical program focusing on patriotism and pride. The two-hour tribute, utilizing both vocal and instrumental settings, is a moving homage to America. Spectators are encouraged to wear their favorite red, white and blue outfits for this patriotic musical offering.
