Brown speaks at club meeting

Peachtree City Mayor Steve Brown was the guest speaker at the April meeting of the New Neighbors League Club, at which time Linda Villano-Blench was named New Neighbor of the Month.

The group met at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. Villano-Blench received her award from Joyce Saylor-Jones, the New Neighbor of the Year for 2001. Brown spoke about his duties as mayor and his vision for Peachtree City.

Among Villano-Blench's duties with the club leading up to her award were serving two successful terms as social chairperson and her work on various committees along with hosting the annual golf cart rally party at her home the past two years.

New Neighbors League Club's purpose is to bring together newcomers to the area so that they may meet and become friends while adjusting to new surroundings. A non-for-profit social organization with a monthly meeting and a wide variety of special interest groups, it is a national organization with 14 chapters throughout the United States.
