PTC council wants jail impact fee talks to resume quickly The Peachtree City Council wants to reopen negotiations with Fayette County to impose an impact fee on new developments to fund construction of the new county jail. In a unanimous vote at its meeting Thursday night, council approved a resolution asking for the process begin for such an agreement, which would also include input from Fayetteville and Tyrone. The resolution notes that discussion between the cities and county on the impact fee was postponed until agreements could be reached between the county and cities on how cities would pay the county to house inmates. The resolution requests that the impact fee talks "commence promptly." "It's kind of what I consider to be a no-brainer," said Mayor Steve Brown. John Munford
