Free allergy screenings available

The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology will conduct free screenings in the Atlanta area. Children and adults are welcome.

The nearest local screening is Saturday, May 4, at South Side Medical Center, 1837 Highway 138 in Riverdale. For more information, visit the ACAAI Web site at http://allergy.mcg.edu.

The Nationwide Asthma Screening Program, now moving into its sixth year, has screened almost 50,000 people who thought they might have asthma and referred more than half for a professional diagnosis. In 2002, more than 300 screenings will be conducted across the country.
