Knight excels as scout Boy Scout Troop 71 recently awarded Scouting's highest rank to Philip Knight after he earned the required 21 merit badges and completed his service project at Whitewater Middle School by building an outdoor classroom. He is a 10th-grader at Fayette County High School and has been in Scouting since fifth grade. Before joining his Fayetteville troop in 1999 he was a member of a troop in Manhattan, Kansas, as well as one in The Hague, Netherlands. Philip is the son of Perry and Lynn Knight of Fayetteville.
