A Fayette woman has been arrested on a host of drug charges after allegedly stealing prescription medication from the Fulton County pharmacy she worked at.

Helga Nosiri, 35, faces 12 felony counts of violating the Georgia controlled substances act. She is being held without bond at the Fayette County Jail.

Detectives are investigating whether Nosiri planned to transport the drugs back to Nigeria, her homeland, said Maj. Bruce Jordan of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department.

In a search of Nosiri's Trolling Way home Thursday, detectives found large quantities of prescription medication, including a 1,000-count bottle of acetaminophen-codeine tablets and two 500-count bottles of hydrocodone bitartrate tablets, according to warrants filed for her arrest. Also found were hydrocodone pills darvacet pills and a vial of depotestosterone.

The warrants alleged that Nosiri planned to sell the drugs.

Nosiri stole the drugs from the CVS Pharmacy on Old National Highway in Fulton County, where she was employed as a pharmacist, Jordan said.
