Wednesday, April 10, 2002 First homes underway in Cypress Pointe The first five homes are under construction in Cypress Pointe, a new 54-home community in Union City. Located on Church St., which runs off Flat Shoals Road, Cypress Pointe has homes priced from $99,900 to $121,900. The newest community for Starcraft Communities, Cypress Pointe offers three and four-bedroom ranch homes and one four-bedroom two-story design. More information about the community can be obtained by calling Robert Stephens of Glenridge Realty, the sales agent there, at 770-964-5584. Jim Adair is managing partner of Starcraft Communities. He has been involved in home building in the Atlanta area since 1986, and prior to that he was a senior executive for national volume builders in Texas and California. His business associate in Starcraft Communities is Mike Massa, whose career also began in Texas and who later worked with large home building companies in the Atlanta area. Adair and Massa worked together in the Atlanta home building industry for several years before deciding to start Starcraft Communities. The company is also currently building in Walnut Creek, a South DeKalb County community which is nearing the "sold out" stage.
