More than 2,000 fed at Hosea's Easter feast

Despite inclement weather, a last-minute change of venue and a need for more volunteers, the staff and friends of the Hosea Williams "Feed the Hungry and Homeless" program fed approximately 2,000 hungry Atlantans on their first annual Easter Sunday.

Afterwards, home deliveries were made to shelters, shut-ins and housing projects to feed an additional several hundred hungry people.

Once a small, yearly Thanksgiving tradition, now this organization plans four comprehensive, annual holiday dinners with the works.

Guests receive grooming, clean clothes, ministry, counseling and even entertainment as they wait their turn for a delicious mutli-course meal.

In attendance were inspirational leaders from the Abundant Life Church of Atlanta, including the Rev. Ruby Pugh and the uplifting words of Shealeta Murden.
