Mystery author to speak at PTC library Thursday Beverly Connor, author of the Lindsay Chamberlain Mysteries, will appear at the Peachtree City Library Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m. as part of the popular Georgia Author Series. Connor will share her experience as an archaeologist and how she uses it to weave stories of prehistoric native America with modern mysteries that are intertwined with methods of modern forensic archaeology. Lindsay Chamberlain, the detective in Connor's novels, is an archaeologist and forensic anthropologist on the faculty of the University of Georgia. Because of her expertise with bones, she is often called on to analyze human skeletal remains and determine the identity of the victims. Bones often tell the history of the victim during their life and sometimes the story of their death. Lindsay's eye for bones and her strong sense of justice often put her in the path of those who want the past to remain buried. Like her character, Connor has ties to UGA, where she received her bachelor's degrees in anthropology and sociology, geology and a master's in archaeology. Titles in the Lindsay Chamberlain series include: Airtight Case, Skeleton Crew, Dressed to Die, Questionable Remains, and A Rumor of Bones. Connor is currently at work on her sixth novel, Kill Site.
