Land preservation meeting is next week
The South Fulton Parkway Alliance will host an informational presentation by Terry DeMeo from the Carl Vincent Institute of Government at the University of Georgia Thursday, April 4, at 7 p.m., at the South Fulton Service Center at 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park. DeMeo will discuss the various ways and methods that land owners can permanently protect the rural character of their land through the use of land trusts, conservation easements, transfer of development rights, and other tools. Don't miss this chance too learn how to protect the future of your land and to ensure that the natural beauty and resources of you land will not be consumed by development. DeMeo is the Environmental Policy Program Coordinator with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia, where she: ·conducts research on environmental management and policy issues; ·provides research supported technical assistance to local, regional and state governments; and ·develops and teaches environmental education programs designed for government officials.
