Charges may be dropped against PTC Councilman

Later this year, Fayette State Court prosecutors may eventually drop charges of making harrassing phone calls against Peachtree City Councilman Dan Tennant.

Tennant must first prove he has successfully completed anger management classes before the charges are dropped, according to the order filed by State Court Judge Fletcher Sams last month.

Tennant's ex-wife, Kristine Koppenhafer, alleged that in September and October Tennant called her numerous times to harrass her. Tennant claimed he was merely calling to speak with her about the couple's children, who live with Koppenhafer.

After a hearing in December, Magistrate Court Judge Bob Ruppenthal found there was probable cause and ordered Tennant to be arrested.
