Program at PTC Library to focus on America's first woman senator

Rebecca Latimer Felton, who served one day as America's first woman senator in 1922, will be the topic of a program held Wednesday, March 20 at the Floy Farr Room of the Peachtree City Library at 7 p.m.

Felton, who was born in DeKalb County in 1835, became a tireless advocate for social and political reform.

Anne Earle of the DeKalb Historical Society will share her knowledge of Felton, who was also a writer. Felton also served as a secretary and counselor for her husband, who was a farmer, a minister and politician.
