Clayton State's tax help program is ready

The Clayton College & State University Accounting Club's annual program to help the public deal with one of the two certainties of life taxes has begun for 2002.

VITA the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program has been a staple of the club for several years, said its advisor, James J. Bagwell, Ph.D., assistant professor of accounting and business law. On four occasions over the next three weeks, Clayton State accounting students will be setting up shop in the university's Student Center cafeteria to do free income tax preparation for any and all comers.

The Accounting Club will be out for VITA Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For those who can't make it on Saturdays, a Thursday night session is planned March 14, from 6 - 10 p.m.
