Principals from all over coming to Fayette

Approximately 50 middle and high school principals from across the United States were expected to tour Rising Starr Middle and Starr's Mill High Schools during the National Association of Secondary School Principals annual convention and exposition, in Atlanta March 1-4.

The schools are two of seven that have been deemed exceptional by the organization and placed on a list of possible schools for attendees to tour while at the conference. The schools were selected by the NASSP because they offer sound educational programs and innovative practices that work.

Each year, schools within close proximity of the conference are invited to submit proposals to be included on the list of school tours. While at the schools, visiting principals would have the opportunity to learn more about Fayette County's academic programs and practices that have lead the schools to become highly revered both locally and nationally.
