New seafood restaurant opens

The quest to find delectable seafood in Peachtree City has ended. The Famous Fish Company docked at The Avenue Peachtree City this week and is offering the freshest seafood imported from around the world.

With several locations in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Germany, The Famous Fish Company plans to wow patrons with international flare, from seafood to imported libations. Seafood is shipped in daily from Australia, South Africa, the West Indies, Portugal, Iceland, Greece and Italy.

A well-respected member of the South African Chefs Association, Owner/Chef Bruce Scott brings his wealth of culinary experience to the helm.

Along with seasoned chefs, he maintains his influence in the kitchen with implementing and cooking new techniques. CEO for ten years, Scott also spearheads all business and expansion matters.

Patrons of The Famous Fish Company will be delighted to discover a wide-range of fish selections. Scott prefers to present seafood in straightforward styles, thus maintaining pure flavors.

Menu items range from phyllo pastry-wrapped grilled halibut strips with brie cheese and fresh fruit salsa to sautéed sea bass served on wilted spinach with new potatoes and a pistachio soy reduction.

In addition, the restaurant offers "pan" options, from which patrons have five different dishes ("pans") to chose. For example, "pan 1" is grilled lobster with an assortment of shrimp and mussels, while "pan 5" is a combination of three different grilled fish filets.

These options are available at lunch and dinner. Scrumptious desserts are available to satisfy that sweet tooth with a menu that changes daily based on weather and availability of ingredients.

Guests can enjoy internationally influenced wines and beers, all available by the glass or bottle.

Weekly wine specials will be offered as well. Beers will be imported from locations such as South Africa, Namibia and Australia.

Accepting reservations, The Famous Fish Company will seat 100 guests. Lunch and dinner will be served daily; lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Developed by Atlanta-based Cousins Properties Incorporated, The Avenue Peachtree City is lined with shops and restaurants featuring the newest concepts from upscale retailers usually found in regional malls as well as one-of-a-kind boutiques.

Shoppers can enjoy strolling along pedestrian friendly walkways trimmed with beautiful landscaping, music and water fountains or gather their thoughts while sitting on a park bench in a restful courtyard.

The mood is reminiscent of days gone by while the fashion and food are up to the minute. Open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., The Avenue Peachtree City is at 200-401 City Circle at the intersection of Ga. Highways 54 and 74 in the heart of Peachtree City.
