Noted author shares her story at Peachtree City Rotary Club gathering

Author and professional speaker Christi Hai spoke recently at the regular noon meeting of the Peachtree City Rotary Club. She has been nominated for Georgia Author of the Year for 2002 and for the Women Strength Award sponsored by Oprah Winfrey and the Oxygen network.

At the Rotary meeting Hai told about her experiences as a Vietnamese war orphan and her adoption by a loving American couple. She spoke about trying to feel part of her new country as she was assimilated into the American culture. She told the group how her struggles with identity led her through the "American dream" of success in the corporate world finally to what she calls her "destiny" a collaborative effort named the "Peace Project."

Hai is now on a global tour to deliver the message of this project, that a child can make a difference in the reconciliation between the United States and Vietnam.

Her newest book, "In the Arms of Grace: One Saved Child's Journey," shares this hoped-for healing.

Although her message is especially targeted to Vietnam veterans and their families, Hai hopes that through her efforts she can inspire others to rekindle their passion for life and reenergize their courage to succeed in living their own dreams, not the dreams others have for them, as they join her in the search for healing.
