'Sacred Circle' expo coming to Cobb

Natural Health Expos presents the "Sacred Circle" Natural Health and Well-Being Expo March 2-3 at the Cobb Galleria Centre on Cobb Parkway (U.S. Highway 41) in Atlanta.

The event features 35 workshops and lectures, live music and entertainment, and more than 150 booths offering a variety of natural health products and services in an uplifting, festive atmosphere. Hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, March 2, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, March 3.

Best-selling author Dr. Doreen Virtue headlines the weekend-long series of workshops. Dr. Virtue is the author of "Divine Guidance," "Healing with the Angels," "Angel Therapy" and "The Yo-Yo Diet Syndrome." With a doctorate in counseling psychology, she is also founder and former director of WomanKind Psychiatric Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., and a former administrator at Woodside Women's Hospital in the San Francisco Bay area.

Other featured speakers include Skip Atwater, research director of the Monroe Institute and author of "Captain of My Ship, Master of My Soul"; Delores Cannon, author of more than 12 books and an expert on Nostradamus' predictions; and Joe Crane, co-author of "On Wings of Heaven."

The expo program also features free performances including meditation music, pan flute music, percussion, didgeridoo and vocal performances. Free workshops will be offered on alternative healing techniques, use of natural healing products, feng shui design, traditional Chinese medicine and spiritual practices from many cultures.

Natural Health Expos presents events designed to balance the mind, body and spirit through teaching a broad range of healing modalities, and offering natural ways to nourish the body and the Earth. The Sacred Circle event in Atlanta is sponsored by Aquarius Magazine, Beyond the Clouds Bookstore, Creative Loafing Magazine, Living Foods Institute, Phoenix and Dragon Bookstore, Vibrant Living Radio and Television, and Whole Foods Market.
