PSC releases natural gas marketer prices

Want to compare your gas marketer's prices with others avalable?

The Georgia Public Service Commission posts prices for natural gas marketers monthly on its Web site, www.psc.state.ga.us.

Marketers are required to report their prices to the commission by the fifth of each month, but there are no guarantees these prices are accurate for any date after the fifth. The prices do not include the Atlanta Gas Light base charge which is $10.32 + ($14.27 per DDDC factor) or $1.11 + ($14.27 per DDDC factor) for senior citizen/low-income citizens.

The base charge is the same regardless of which marketer is chosen. Customer specific DDDC factors can be obtained by calling the selected marketer. Prices also do not include sales tax, which varies by county.

Consumers can also see a chart showing an estimate of average monthly residential gas usage at the Web site. Additional information on consumer complaints concerning natural gas marketers may be found at the Gas Marketer Scoreboard on the Web site.
